The Smart Pill Dispenser

Helping an elderly person who lives alone take the right medicine at the right time — every single day.

01 · The problem

Living alone, easy to forget

Many older people live on their own and have to take several different pills every day, at different times.

  • It is hard to keep track. Did I take the morning pill? Or did I take it twice?
  • A mistake is dangerous. A missed or doubled dose can lead to a fall or a hospital visit.
  • No one is watching. If something goes wrong, there is nobody at home to notice.

02 · The innovation

One smart box for the whole week

A family member fills the dispenser once a week. The device sorts every dose into its own day-and-time compartment.

  • It reminds you. At pill time the right compartment lights up and beeps until you take it.
  • It prevents mistakes. Only the correct compartment opens, so you can never take the wrong pills.
  • It is simple. Big buttons, clear sounds — the user does not even need a smartphone.

03 · Why it's a genuine innovation

If a dose is missed, the family knows

The dispenser is connected to the internet. If a pill is not taken on time, it sends an alert to a relative's phone.

  • Better than a normal pill box. An ordinary box cannot remind, check or report — this one does all three.
  • Cheaper than care. Far less expensive than a daily nurse visit, and it works 24/7.
  • Accessible to everyone. Easy for the elderly user; the family controls everything from an app.

04 · Conclusion

Independence, with peace of mind

A simple, affordable device lets older people stay safely in their own homes — and lets their families relax.
